HCP provides a P0.9 162’’ LED display for NovaStar at InfoComm2022

The LED screen above is combined with bezel-free LED modules. Unlike LCD video wall panels, LED bloc display enables seamless video walls of all sizes. The P0.9 162’’ display delivers an immersive viewing experience with 4k resolution as well as high contrast ratio up to 15000:1. Such a high contrast ratio is attributed to an illuminance of 1200nit along with the ultra-black surface treatment to create deeper blacks. While emitting such high brightness, its power consumption can be controlled below 350W/㎡. That is because the video wall consists of HCP’s latest innovation –the C2 series LED display.

The C2 series LED display iteration improves grayscale and color performance with the high refresh rate being a major design factor for this new model. Besides P0.9, the C2 series cover a full range of pixel pitch from P0.4 to P1.8, matching various resolution requirements for customizable demands. With 16bit grayscale and 120%NTSC color gamut, it provides exceptional image display. To fit all kinds of demanding applications, LED display nowadays requires more than high definition. For example, in virtual production, a high refresh rate becomes necessary in order to avoid scanning lines. The C2 series provide an ultrahigh refresh rate up to 7680hz, which can eliminate smearing, moiré pattern, and scanning lines. Furthermore, it has a larger modular design and excellent anti-collision thus making it easy to install and maintain.

Differentiated from most other LED display products, the C2 series use COB (chip on board) technology. COB encapsulation technology brings with wider viewing angle and higher resolution. More importantly, its excellent heat dissipation allows the display to realize lower power consumption and alleviate the temperature rising. Currently, few manufacturers master the COB technology due to the requirement of brand new engineering and equipment. However, HCP has explored and succeeded in this approach after conquering the key issues such as the mass transfer technology.
